HAKAMA - a Success Story
HAKAMA was founded on April 1, 1956.
The first location was in CH-4115 Mariastein.
Today the domicile of the enterprise is in CH-4112 Bättwil - 9 km air-line away from Basel and 200 m from the French border.
The name HAKAMA is put together of three components, the initials of the founding families and the founding location: HAberthür KAsper MAriastein.
Today the company is run from the second generation - Marius Haberthür and Fritz Kasper.
Milestones in the History of HAKAMA
2010
Retroactively to January 1st, 2010 INDUS Holding AG from Germany acquired 60% of HAKAMA AG. At the same time INDUS obtained an option to acquire the remaining 40% of the shares at a later time. Marius Haberthür and Fritz Kasper remain as Managing Directors with a stake of 40%.

Planning of the next extension of the production building: At the end of the Expo.02 the operator Arteplage Neuchâtel sold us the concert and event hall Théâtre 800 “Le Cargo”.
We plan to build the Cargo hall behind the existing production building. From mid 2006 the new hall will accommodate the entire laser technology (laser and punching tools) including loading, unloading and high rack storage.

HAKAMA grows with the boom in telecommunications: Adaptation of the production to islands of machine tools and enterprise working in several shifts. Enormous increase in capacity:
9 CNC stamping machines are in operation in shift system.
Putting into operation a new manufacturing building with 3 floors with 1’300m2 additional effective area next to the existing production building. Acquisition of additional commercial area within the strategic planning.

was a significant year in multiple respects: Change of the partnership association Haberthür & Kasper to HAKAMA Joint Stock Company.
The aspiring pharmaceutical industry as well as the new infinite area of electronics determined increasingly the course of HAKAMA.
At the same time there was the alternation of generations concerning the lead of the enterprise: Marius Haberthür and Fritz Kasper faced the new challenges vigorously with a clear entrepreneurial concept.
